Dato Azizan bin Abd Rahman

Executive Chairman

Dato Azizan A. Rahman started his career in the shipping industry after graduating from University of Malaya in 1973, working with Harper Gilfillan Shipping and later with MISC Berhad.

He left MISC to join JF Apex Securities Berhad in 1982 as a Director and shareholder. He was an active member of the industry and became President of The Stockbrokers Association of Malaysia until 1995.

In 1995, he was appointed to the Board of Kedah State owned Bina Darulaman Berhad to assist the companies in their debt restructuring plan and to identify new business strategies. Dato Azizan also assisted the MBf Group in their corporate restructuring exercise when he was their Managing Director of MBf Group.

He was also Chairman of Eastern & Oriental Berhad ("E&O Berhad") since 2003 and TH Heavy Engineering Berhad. He was also the Chairman of Investment Panel of Lembaga Tabung Haji, a state owned investment company and sits on the board of its subsidiary companies - TH Plantations Berhad, Chairman of TH Properties Sdn Bhd and PT Synergy Oil Nusantara (JV between TH and FELDA). He served the Investment Panel of TH since 2001.

During his position as Chairman of E&O Berhad and TH Properties, he oversaw the development of high-end luxury residential and commercial development whilst TH Properties is a township developer namely the 5000 acres successful development of Bandar Enstek near KLIA.

Dato Azizan is currently the majority shareholder of Silverland Capital Sdn Bhd.
