Mr Shaik Rizal graduated from Purdue University, USA with a BSc. (Management - Finance & Marketing) in 1994 and subsequently with a MBA (International Business) from University of Bristol, UK in 1996. He has more than 28 years' experience in strategic management, start-up operations and corporate restructuring focusing mainly on turnaround type operations in industries ranging from communications, logistics, finance, infrastructure, construction and property development. He has been directly involved in a few large government concession negotiations as well as special purpose project vehicles for national level privatization type projects.

Mr Shaik Rizal started his career in 1996 with Dentsu, Young & Rubicam, before joining Aims Worldwide, an investment company as its General Manager. Between 1998 and 2000, he was Managing Director & Founder of Vision Courier Sdn Bhd, a private logistics company he started which launched his foray into business.

In the year 2000 he was appointed as Advisor to Mimos Bhd, the National IT R&D company and subsequently in 2001, he was made the CEO of DRB-HICOM Information Technologies Sdn Bhd responsible for the KOMNAS National Project which he founded with patronage from the then Prime Minister of Malaysia.

Mr Shaik Rizal was actively involved with various corporate advisory and turnaround stints after leaving DRB-Hicom group in 2003 and was CEO for Arianworks Sdn Bhd since 2003, for Cagamodal Bhd since 2006, and for Digivest (M) Sdn Bhd since 2009. During this time, he was also made the Country Advisor for Sindicatum Carbon Capital Ltd UK and ICG Group Ltd UK.

In mid 2011, he was appointed as Advisor to Syarikat Prasarana Negara Bhd before being appointed as Group Managing Director & CEO in a Public Listed Property Development outfit, Nagamas International Berhad in early 2012. He has been at the helm of Silverland Capital as its Managing Director since October 2013.
